Sea Moss is a type of algae or seaweed found along shorelines of most oceans in the Caribbean, North America, Africa, and Europe.
This algae is known for its mucous fighting properties, for being naturally rich in bio-available vitamins and minerals that are not commonly found on over-the-counter multivitamins (i.e. Vanadium, Strontium, Boron, etc). Sea moss has pre-biotic effects by lining the intestines and aiding in absorbing nutrients more efficiently, high in antioxidant, supports a healthy libido, and it is fantastic for thyroid health due to its high iodine and potassium content.
Overall, two (2) tablespoons of sea moss a day is considered safe.
Children 6 months and up can also consume the algae. They can begin with One (1) teaspoon a day and gradually add more as needed.
Pets can also consume sea moss and amount is based on their size and weight.
People with HYPERTHYROIDISM should NOT consume Sea Moss.
It is always best to err on the side of caution, and consult with a professional medical doctor familiar with your medical history. This is especially true if you take medicines that can interact with the natural contents of sea moss, like iodine, or if you are sensitive or allergic to iodine.
